Champagne and food spot illustrations for the book "Krug Champagne at the Table"
Editorial
Set of 52 spot illustrations in a minimalist cut-out style for the book "Krug Champagne at the Table: A Passion for Pairing, A Culinary Journey" published by Rizzoli New York.
Krug is one of the most famous Champagne houses and was established in 1843. This book is a collaboration between Krug and 10 world-famous chefs (Cassidee Dabney, Nina Compton, Lorna McNee, Arnaud Lallement, Anne-Sophie Pic, Tanja Grandits, Tim Raue, Enrico Bartolini, guillaume Galliot and Yosuke Suga) who created recipes around a single ingredient that pairs perfectly with an edition of Krug.
But more than a recipe book, it also delves into ten themes around Krug, from the ten champagne myths to ten tasting notes and the lifestyle code of the Champagne region. The illustrations are used on some of these themes pages to represent ways to enjoy champagne, dishes or specific buildings such as the Krug house is Reims or the chefs restaurants.
As part of the same book, I also created a map of Champagne wine regions and a map of restaurants around the world.
